I’m Lauren Neal, founder of Valued at Work. I spent two decades in engineering. Offshore, onshore, and everywhere in between, working on multi-million-dollar projects while often being the only woman in the room.

I know what it’s like to lead with skill and still be underestimated, overlooked, or dismissed simply because you don’t fit the mould.

I’m not here to fix women, I’m here to help fix the                          that hold them back.

I’ve led global teams, delivered complex projects, spoken on global stages, and facilitated workshops for some of the world’s biggest companies - helping women reclaim their voice, value, and visibility.

That’s why I created Thriving in STEM - so women like you don’t have to figure it out alone. This programme is everything I wish I had: the tools, support, and strategies to build influence, gain visibility, and shape a career on your terms.


I know the pressure of constantly having to prove yourself, the sting of being overlooked, and the deep frustration of doing everything “right” and still not moving forward - while wondering what more you could possibly do.

Alongside my lived experience, I bring 20 years of leadership in the energy sector and currently work at a globally recognised company.
